Once again, volunteers, staff and the Club as a whole combined to produce a marvellous Round the Island Race; the professionalism of all involved truly sets the Club apart as first amongst equals. This weekend the Island Sailing Club is organising the Official Round the Island Race Village. It will be open on Cowes Parade, adjacent to the Clubhouse from 12:00 on Friday all day Saturday, closing at 15:00 on Sunday. The poster gives a flavour of what's happening; please come along and help make this exciting new inititaive by the ISC a success.

51 years ago, 47 yachts took part in the first edition of Barcolana. Held on the second Sunday of October every year, Barcolana became a Guinness World Record holder last February when it was recognised as “The largest sailing race” with its 2,689 boats and over 16,000 sailors at the start line. The 51st Barcolana race will be held in Trieste on 13th October 2019 with a jam-packed entertainment schedule in the ten days

The ISC pitch at Sunday's Cowes Big Lunch was a great success with a sell-out BBQ and some £300 raised for Sailability in the ISC raffle. Especial thanks go to the organisers Maureen Wroath and Carole Topple, our chef Charlotte and to Craig Weston for the heavy lifting.
