This is the Sonar selection process for popular events such as Cowes Week and Tuesday Evening Race Series and the ISC Annual Regatta. Early in the season, the ISC Sailing Committee decide on hire and charter fees for the coming year. The ISC Sonars are regularly in high demand; enquiries for event bookings will not be entertained until 1st January. Thereafter indications of interest will be accepted via email. Please contact the Sailing Secretary. Or by telephone to 01983 249431. If more than 9 names have been received by end of February, the book will close and all names will be put into a hat. If less than 9 have been received, those 9 will be accepted, and the remaining spaces taken on a first come first served basis. The first 9 names drawn at random will be asked to pay the deposit, on receipt they will have their booking confirmed. Anyone not wishing to continue their booking will be released, and remaining Sonars offered to those remaining in the hat. Any names still in the hat when all 9 boats have a paid deposit against them, will be contacted and informed they are on a waiting list, their names will also be drawn at random, to establish the waiting list order. When final balances are paid, boat allocation will take place. All boat names will be put into a hat, and drawn randomly against skippers. Chris Thomas
