The club for families and fanatics!
The Island Sailing Club provides for people with different `water' interests. Whether you are a F1 high speed merchant, looking for a friendly social focus on which to base your leisure sailing or competitive, we hope to be able to help you.
Some of our members have long since washed the salt from their eyes, whilst others have yet to get their toes wet. All sorts are welcome!
We offer the following facilities:
On the Members Floor are the lounge bar, Beken Room, dining room and conservatory with unique views looking down the Eastern Solent. The large sliding windows give access onto the balcony and conservatory, popular places to sit and watch the yacht racing while sipping a drink or enjoying a meal or snack. It is the ideal place to entertain your friends in Cowes Week.

The new Beken Room allows for a quiet retreat on busy days or an area to meet friends for a pre dinner drink. The smaller Centenary Room bar is on the second floor and is a regular venue for private parties for club members. There are few better locations in Cowes. From the Centenary Room lobby there is direct access to the Roof Terrace giving 700 sq. ft in the open air with absolutely magnificent views over the Solent. In the summer half of this space is covered with a marquee for social functions. On the Ground Floor, there is access from the entrance to the ladies' and men's Changing Rooms. Access to the Club Offices is from the entrance hall or through the lower marquee on the seaward side of the club. To seaward of the marquee is the "Foredeck", another outdoor area with picnic tables. A favourite place for children and sun worshipers. |
The Boathouse is alongside the Club Offices, with access directly through to the men's Changing Room.
The pontoons are reached along a connecting bridge from the foredeck.

Offices
The offices are open between 0900 and 1700 on weekdays (except Bank Holidays). Outside these hours any enquiries should be made at the Bar (249434) or by using the answerphone (296621) or email facilities.
The Changing Rooms have toilet and shower facilities and a limited number of coat-racks with locks.
We have 90ft of mooring space alongside the outer pontoon. Visiting Members may berth their yachts alongside on a first come, first served basis for up to three hours. Double banking is not permitted and boats are required to fly the Club Burgee while alongside.
We have just replaced our RIB pontoon with a piled pontoon which is more stable and has plenty of cleats. This is for Members' RIBs of under 6m only which should be moored bows on. There is a three hour time limit and RIBs must have a Club Burgee.
Only members' RIBs can be parked/moored upstream of the access pontoon.
